2020: A Year of Plenty and Unlocking God’s Perspective

This year will be a Year of Plenty.  The truth is God’s contract with man has always involved and even required fruitfulness and increase!  God initiated his decree to his newly minted creation, called ‘mankind,’ saying ‘I’ve made you and called you to Be Fruitful and Multiply.’

Let’s look at the mandates God gave:
The Adamic Mandate in Genesis 1:28 “God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it.

This Mandate was both empowering man to create wealth and instructing them how to take dominion.  This continued in God’s Commission to Noah when he restarted his work with man and spoke to them saying in

The Noah Commission in Genesis 9:7 “As for you, be fruitful and increase in number; multiply on the earth and increase upon it.” God reiterated and expanded his Covenant of Increase with man contract with Abraham.

The Abrahamic Covenant in Genesis 22:17“I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies.”

God gave Joshua a strategy for increase and possessing their land.

The Joshua Command in Deuteronomy 30:16For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the LORD your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess.

God also releases a Blessing of Increase!

A Davidic Blessing in Psalms 115:14-16“May the Lord cause you to flourish, both you and your children. May you be blessed by the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. The highest heavens belong to the Lord, but the earth he has given to mankind” (NIV).

In New Testament Grace Jesus carries a similar message of his heart for man when he decreed his mission was to bless you abundantly in your life.

Jesus, New Testament Grace in John 10:10“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (NKJV).

God’s heart towards man has always been to see him abundantly blessed and empowered to multiply and increase!  This is a year to Abide in Him and bear abundant fruit (John 15:5). Some may feel that they haven’t experienced this blessing of increase in some areas of their lives yet, but God is encouraging us it’s time to Raise Our Expectations in this season!  Even if we haven’t born fruit in in a certain area up to this point.

God is decreeing Isaiah 54 over many of your lives!  ‘Sing, O barren, Sing’ Burst into Song’ ‘Shout for joy’  ‘Enlarge the place of your dwelling, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, extend your stakes’ ‘Do not be afraid, you will not be put to shame.  Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated. You will forget the shame of your youth’

In 2020, God is Releasing a Wisdom that will Unlock His Perspective to Us more than ever before!

God’s perspective in us involves our viewpoint or opinions that affect our decision making, our worldview that forms our understanding of the world around us, and our self-image that speaks to the perception of our calling, identity and abilities.

The enemy’s plan to stop the church has always involved a deception strategy.  He is a liar and the Father of Lies.  He lies because he knows that he can’t win in a straight up fight with God and His Church.  He can only prevail by employing a strategy of confusion, talking us out of our authority, our true identity and distracting us from the true battles.  Your identity will determine your destiny!  Your worldview will determine the strategies you employ to bring solutions to the world around you!  And your viewpoint will inform the decisions that you make that will affect your future and the future of our nation and this generation!

This is a season that God is going to release the spirit of Wisdom and Revelation in a way that will begin to shape the view of the church, so that we can be the culture shapers we are called to be.  If your view is hindered or blurred, you will misperceive the world around you and believe a lie.  Your perspective is impacted by your Light, your Lens and your Level.

Your Light Luke 11:34 says, “Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are healthy, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are unhealthy, your body also is full of darkness. See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness. Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be just as full of light as when a lamp shines its light on you.””

And Psalms 119:105 “I gain understanding from your precepts; therefore I hate every wrong path. Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”
More than ever before, we need the light of God’s revelation to see the world from God’s point of view and not just our feelings or opinions.  This will be key to your breakthrough this year.  Darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the people, but God wants to arise and shine on those that are His.  Let God’s word be a lamp that lights your path and purpose this year.

Your Lens If your lens is dirty, if it is blurry, if it is focused on the wrong things, if its shaded or jaded then your perspective will be greatly impaired dangerously flawed.

Acts 2:40 declares “With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.””
This word corrupt means to be perverse or twisted.  God does not want our perspective to be twisted to try and fit the morals and focus of this current culture.  God is warning us…Don’t get I twisted! Because if we do, we could find ourselves actually ‘calling evil, good and calling good, evil’.

Isaiah 5:18-21 says “Woe to those who draw sin along with cords of deceit, and wickedness as with cart ropes, to those who say, “Let God hurry; let him hasten his work so we may see it. The plan of the Holy One of Israel— let it approach, let it come into view, so we may know it.” Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight” (NIV).

Your Level How and where you are standing will drastically effect your view.  If you are too close to your problems, it can block your ability to see God’s power or goodness.  If you are lifted up in pride, you may be blind to truth.  When you are keeping company with bad people, scripture says it can corrupt good morals in your life.  Scripture also says that if we wait upon the Lord, we will rise up and soar like an eagle.  An eagle’s view is amazing when it soars high on the winds.  Its perspective totally shifts as it ascends.

When we worship, when we pray, when we serve, God causes our view to change.  God’s going to shift our position as we wait on him so we can begin to get God’s point of view on our lives and world.  Celebration brings an elevation to our vision!  Don’t let your current condition affect your true position that puts you in the right place to see God’s grace displayed!  The Apostle Paul said it this way in Ephesians 6:19-20: “and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak” (NKJV).

He way saying, please pray for me that my condition of being in chains in a dark dungeon would not affect my true position or perspective of actually being an ambassador of the kingdom of God who should speak boldly with authority representing the King of all Kings!

The truth is that a partial truth is actually a lie!  That is why in America when we swear in a witness, we have them put their hand on the Bible and promise “to tell, the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.” Your perspective will reveal what you truly believe is the truth.  Your perspective will determine what you perceive, and that will determine what you believe, and that will determine what you achieve and what you receive!
The enemy’s plan is to twist your perspective by controlling the narrative, limiting your view and labeling your life.  God took me to the story of three Hebrew children who changed a nation and a generation in a desperate time in their lives.  We all are familiar with the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abendego, but are we familiar with the story of Azariah, Hananiah, and Mishiel?   Of course, they are the same people but their famous names were given by their Babylonian captors.  Their Babylonian names said that they were just guests of Babylon and its king, that they were servants of Nebo and were gifted as scribes in the royal palace.

These names were a partial truth as they were enslaved for these purposes and given duties accordingly.  They were gifted, but their masters were saying that those gifts are given to serve us and that you are only a guest of the system:  “Bow down to the Babylonian system and know your place or else!  Bow down to the Image when the music plays like everyone else or suffer the severe consequences.”

But somehow, these three young men had a different view of their lives. You see they had been mentored by a man named Daniel, who served Babylon but always knew that “Jehovah was his judge.”  He made a stand that even if they conspired and passed laws against his faith, that he would trust his life and future into the hands of God no matter how hungry the lions were that wanted to devour him.  So these three young men took a stand to not bow down to the system when the pressure was the greatest to follow the crowd.

They determined that their lives were meant to be a testimony whether they lived or died by making this stand.  What gave them this courage?  I believe it was because they trusted in the original meaning of their names above the labels put on them by Babylon.  If they would allowed Babylon to define them, then Babylon owned them.

Whatever defines you will either align you or confine you!   They aligned to God’s identity over their lives, so they stood up when everything said bow down.  Their perspective was, ‘This is what I was made for!’  So their heart said this:  Stand up Azariah for your name decrees, ‘Jehovah has helped.’  You’re not a slave!  You’re a servant of God called to make a difference, and God will help you!  Stand up Hananiah!  For God has decreed that ‘God has favored’ you!  God will open doors for you and make a way where there is no way!  Your gifts come from Him and are for Him!  Stand up Mishiel, and be ‘Who is what God is’!  You are called to represent!  You are called to be like your God in the earth!  Reflect His glory!  Be His witness!  Be His glory!  Take your rightful place!  You were made for this time!  Royal seed!  Made to increase!  Made to rule and reign!  Made to change nations!  Made to shift culture!  Made to make a difference with your life!
